Peachy Bread Pudding

this recipe looks delicious. i have not tried it yet.

Yields: 1 bread pudding

Ingredients

  • 4  cups  day-old  bread cubes
  • 3  eggs
  • 1 12 cups milk
  • 13 cup sugar
  • 12 teaspoon  almond extract
  • 1 (21 ounce) can  comstock  peach pie filling, divided

Directions

  1. heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. spread bread cubes in greased 9 inch square baking pan.
  3. whisk together eggs, milk, sugar and extract.
  4. stir in 1 cup peach filling.
  5. pour over bread cubes, pressing custard down into bread with back of spoon.
  6. bake 30-40 minutes until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  7. heat remaining peach filling and spoon over warm pudding.
