Peaches in Basil Syrup

Delicious on its own, but would imagine it being good served with yogurt or ice cream.

  1. In a small saucepan, heat wine and sugar and stir until sugar dissolves; add basil.
  2. Remove from heat and steep for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Strain syrup, pressing on basil to release as much juice as possible. Before serving, toss peaches in syrup.
