Peach Smoothie With Ginger Zing

Adapted from Rocco DiSpirito's "Now Eat This! Diet Cookbook". The ginger really needs to be fresh, not ground and dried, for the proper zing. If desired, you can add 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric for additional health benefits. Show more

Ingredients

  • 1  cup  crushed  ice
  • 2  cups  unsweetened  frozen peaches
  • 1 12 cups water
  • 26  g  vanilla whey protein powder (like Designer Whey, 1 scoop)
  • 1  packet  sugar-free lemonade  powdered drink mix (quart)
  • 12 teaspoon  grated fresh ginger

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Makes 2 very large peach smoothies.
