Ingredients
- 2 cups leftover mashed potatoes
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon self-rising flour
- 1⁄2 lb cooked ground beef
- oil (for frying)
Directions
- Mix potatoes with milk. Add flour and mix to a stiff dough, adding more milk if necessary. Divide mix into six portions.
- Press one portion out with your hand to make a circle. Fill with a spoonful of meat, fold and press edges closed so that meat filling remains inside. repeat with with remaining meat and potato mixture.
- Heat oil and fry cakes until lightly browned on both sides.
- Serve with bacon or a green salad.
