Directions

  1. Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler.
  2. Combine the egg, milk, water and sugar and stir into the chocolate.
  3. Cook the icing over hot water for 20 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Remove it from the steam.
  5. Beat it with a rotary beater for 1 minute or until well blended.
  6. Stir in the vanilla.
  7. Cool the icing before spreading it.
  8. Tightly covered and stored in the refrigerator it will keep for several days.
