Passover Brownies

Yields: 16 2x2" brownies
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup shortening or 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1⁄2 cup sifted matzo cake meal
- 1⁄2 teaspoon table salt
- 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Directions
- Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Beat until fluffy.
- Stir in melted chocolate, then fold in cake meal and salt. Stir in walnuts.
- Pour into greased 8" square baking pan. Bake in preheated 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
