Party Spinach Dip

Found this recipe on a Liptons Box (slightly altered). I make it frequently for parties and always get asked for the recipe. It's perfect matched up with some pumpernickel, rye bread, or pita chips.

• Yields: 3 cups

Ingredients

• 1 (1 ounce) envelope  lipton recipe secrets  vegetable soup mix
• 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
• 3⁄4 cup mayonnaise
• 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, cooked, cooled, squeezed dry (make sure excess water is squeezed out)
• 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped (optional)
•  salt and pepper

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients in medium bowl; chill 2 hours.
2. Serve with your favorite dippers.
