Panera Pear Pecan Crostini

Serves: 10-12

Ingredients

  • 10  ounces blue cheese (Roquefort, Gorgonzola or Stilton)
  • 5  tablespoons heavy cream
  • 15  slices  panera  cinnamon raisin bread, crusts removed
  • 2  bartlett pears, thinly sliced into wedges about 1-1/2-inch long
  • 13 cup pecan halves, thinly sliced crosswise

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F In a small bowl, combine the cheese and cream.
  2. Using a fork or wooden spoon, combine until mixture is soft enough to spread, but not runny. Set aside.
  3. Cut bread into 1-1/2" squares.
  4. Transfer bread squares to a baking sheet.
  5. Toast in oven until light golden, about 6 minutes on each side. Remove from oven.
  6. Spread one heaping teaspoon cheese mixture on each crostini.
  7. Top each with a pear wedge and garnish with pecan slices.
  8. Serve at room temperature.
