Oven Barbecue Sauce for Chicken or Ribs

This is a thinner sauce than you may be used to, but it is excellent for meats or thicker pieces of chicken, because it doesn't dry out.

Ingredients

• 1  cup tomato juice
• 1⁄3 cup vinegar
• 1  dash salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1  tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 2  tablespoons lemon juice
• 2  tablespoons brown sugar
• 2  tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
• 1⁄2 cup catsup
• 1  large onion, diced
• 6  garlic cloves, minced
• 2  bay leaves (optional)

Directions

1. Mix all together thoroughly.
2. To use, line a 9x13 pan with meat.
3. Pour in sauce, and bake 1-2 hours depending on meat.
4. Turn frequently.
