Outdoor Baked Potatoes

I like to make this as a side dish when I barbecue so I don't have to keep running in and out of the house to check on what's cooking...it's all right there. Show more

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 4  potatoes, scrubbed well
  • 2  tablespoons  oil
  • 1  sweet onion, sliced
  • 1  tablespoon  garlic salt

Directions

  1. Coat clean potatoes with oil.
  2. Make 1/2 inch slices in the potatoes but not all the way through.
  3. Insert onion slices into the slices that are in the potato.
  4. Sprinkle with garlic salt.
  5. Wrap well in heavy duty foil.
  6. Place directly on the hot charcoal,turning as necessary.
  7. Cook until tender.
