Oreo Chocolate Mousse Recipe

A creamy mousse layered with crushed oreo cookies!

Serves: 8-9

Yields: 1 dessert

Ingredients

  • 175  g  Oreo cookies (crushed)
  • 375  g  caramelised  condensed milk
  • 500  ml  whipping cream
  • 3  tablespoons cocoa powder

Directions

  1. 1) Beat whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. 2) Lightly beat caramelised condensed milk with a fork & stir in cocoa powder.
  3. N.B.: If caramelised condensed milk is unavailable, regular condensed milk can be caramelised by boiling the tin in a saucepan of water for a few hours, taking care that there is always water in the saucepan or the tin will explode.
  4. 3) Fold caramel mixture into cream.
  5. 4) Sprinkle a generous layer of crushed biscuits onto the bottom of the serving dish.
  6. 5) Spread a half the caramel-cream mixture over.
  7. 6) Repeat and top with crushed biscuits.
