Orange Pecan Cookies..

Two of my favorite things, pecans and citrus..

• Yields: 3 1/2 dozen

Ingredients

• 3⁄4 cup butter, softened
• 1⁄2 cup sugar
• 1  cup brown sugar, packed
• 2  large eggs, beaten
• 1  tablespoon  grated  orange rind
• 1⁄2 cup sour cream
• 3  cups flour
• 2  teaspoons baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1  cup pecans, chopped

• ORANGE ICING

• 2  cups powdered sugar, sifted
• 2 -3  tablespoons  orange juice
• 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
• 2  teaspoons  grated  orange rind

Directions

1. cream butter, and sugar, add eggs and rind and beat till fluffy -- 2-3 minutes.
2. stir in sour cream, and blend in dry ingredients --
3. add nuts and drop of greased baking sheet -- about 2" apart.
4. bake at 375* for 12 minutes.
5. ice with orange frosting when cooled.
6. ORANGE FROSTING:.
7. beat all icing ingredients for 2-3 minutes on medium speed -- till of icing consistency.
