Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 cup honey
- 1 egg
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons orange rind, grated
- 2 1⁄2 cups sifted flour
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3⁄4 cup orange juice
- 3⁄4 cup walnuts, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325°.
- Cream shortening; add honey,orange rind and egg.
- Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
- Add orange juice and nuts.
- Bake 70 minutes.
