Orange Frosting for Cookies

I surely do love citrus...I find every excuse I can to use this frosting...

• Yields: 2 cups

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
• 4  cups powdered sugar
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1⁄2 teaspoon orange zest
• 2 -4  tablespoons  orange juice
•  yellow food coloring
•  red food coloring

Directions

1. combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
2. beat at medium speed with electric mixer for 3-5 minutes or until very fluffy --
3. tint frosting to desired color.
4. I can't remember how much frosting this makes.but it is over 2 cups -- .
