Orange and Bittersweet Choco Cookies

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup softened butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- zest from one orange
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2. Beat butter and sugar until soft and fluffy. Add egg, zest and vanilla extract.
- 3. Stir together flour, soda, powder, and salt. Add to the butter mixture and combine. Stir in chips.
- 4. Roll the mixture into balls by the tablespoon (I made mine a bit larger). Use your fingers to press slightly onto cookie sheet. Place 2-3 in apart. Bake in preheated oven about 9 - 11 minutes.
