Opposite Mirror-Image Brownies

  1. BROWNIE LAYER: Preheat oven to 350*F.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips over low heat; cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla; blend well.
  5. Stir in the melted chocolate.
  6. Combine the flour and baking soda; add to chocolate mixture just until combined.
  7. Gently stir in the white chocolate chips.
  8. Spread batter in a greased 13x9" baking pan; bake for 16-22 minutes, or until a toothpick tests out clean.
  9. Cool on a wire rack.
  10. COOKIE DOUGH LAYER: In a clean bowl, cream together the butter and both sugars until well combined.
  11. Blend in the milk and vanilla; gradually add the flour.
  12. Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
  13. Drop by Tbsp.
  14. over the cooled brownie layer; carefully spread over the top.
  15. Cut into squares; store, covered, in the refrigerator.
