Ocha-zuke

Ingredients

  • 150  g salmon fillets
  • 14 sheet nori
  • 250  g  japanese rice, cooked in 3 . 5dl water
  • 1  tablespoon  japanese  green tea (Sencha leaves)
  • 1  teaspoon wasabi paste (from tube)
  • 4  teaspoons  japanese soya sauce

Directions

  1. rub the salmon with some salt and let it sit for 30mins.roast 5mins under the pre-heated grill [until cooked through].when done flake flesh with a fork.
  2. snip the nori into thin strips.
  3. spoon the still warm rice into soup bowls. scatter salmon flakes on top of rice.
  4. make the green tea with 6dl boiled water.leave to steep for about 45 secs.
  5. pour the tea slowly over the rice. sprinkle on nori strips [and a squeeze of wasabi if desired]. serve immediately.
