Oatmeal Pie

My mommy's. She makes two for Thanksgiving and two for Christmas b/c our family gobbles it up.

Yields: 1 9-inch pie

Ingredients

  • 12 cup butter, melted and cooled
  • 1  cup sugar
  • 1  cup  Dark Karo syrup
  • 2  eggs, beaten
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla
  • 1  cup oatmeal
  • 1 (9 inch)  pie crusts

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients except the oatmeal (and pie crust) together.
  2. Stir in the oatmeal.
  3. Pour into the pie crust.
  4. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes.
