Oatmeal Loaf

Ingredients
- 5 medium turnips, chunks
- 1 1⁄2 cups rolled oats
- 2⁄3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1⁄4 cup water
Directions
- Boil turnips for 25 minutes or until tender, and drain.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Peel outer tough layer of turnips.
- Mash turnips (with potato masher).
- Place in a big bowl and combine with all ingredients.
- Press into loaf pan - fits into 1 large 9 1/4" x 5 1/4" loaf pan, OR 3 small 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" loaf pans.
- Bake for 1 hour or until set.
- Rest for 15 minutes.
- Loosen sides and invert onto a plate to serve.
