Oatmeal Honey Bread--(Bread Machine)

I have two Honey Oatmeal breads that I make and alternate them. Don't ask why because I have no reason. Each time I switch my hubby says, "Oh this is good". So I like them equally as well. This one has a little less honey in it but still has that nice sweet taste. I think you would like either one. You may add raisins to this too at the proper time---1 cup for the large loaf and 3/4 cup for the medium loaf. Show more

Ingredients

  • LARGE LOAF

  • 1 34 cups water
  • 2  tablespoons  vegetable oil
  • 2 12 tablespoons honey
  • 1  teaspoon salt
  • 3  cups bread flour
  • 1 13 cups oats (quick or regular)
  • 2 12 tablespoons dry buttermilk
  • 2  teaspoons  yeast
  • MEDIUM LOAF

  • 1 14 cups water
  • 1 12 tablespoons  vegetable oil
  • 2  tablespoons honey
  • 34 teaspoon salt
  • 2 14 cups bread flour
  • 1  cup oats (quick or regular)
  • 2  tablespoons dry buttermilk
  • 1 12 teaspoons  yeast

Directions

  1. Add ingredients according to the manufacturers instructions.
  2. When it begins to knead, watch and see that is the proper consistency; if it need more water, add a tad of it slowly and if it needs more flour, do the same slowly till you get what you want.
  3. Cool on rack.
