Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups Crisco (I use butter flavor)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 cups flour
- 6 cups quick oats (the one minute kind-not instant)
- 12 -24 ounces chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease cookie sheets.
- Mix together first 8 ingredients in mixing bowl, mix on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 5 min, occasionally scraping bowl.
- Mix in flour until well blended. Mix in oats, 3 cups at a time. Add chocolate chips and stir until well blended.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheets and bake 10 - 12 min, depending on your oven and your desired crispness.
