Oat Granola

I love the fact that this has been sweetened with juice and banana chunks. You can use almond or sunflower oil in this recipe. Show more

Serves: 6-8

Ingredients

  • 3  cups rolled oats
  • 12 cup sunflower seeds
  • 12 cup  almonds, chopped
  • 1 -2  teaspoon cinnamon
  • 14 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 14 cup  sunflower oil
  • 14 cup  pineapple juice
  • 12 cup  mashed banana

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Combine oats, seeds, almonds, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl. In a blender jar combine the oil, pineapple juice and mashed banana and blend well. Spread on a large jelly roll pan and bake for about 45 minutes, stirring the granola 2 or 3 times. When light brown, remove from oven - it crisps as it cools. Store the cooled granola in tightly capped glass jars, in a cool place.
