Oat Cakes

Ingredients
- 1 yellow onion
- 6 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups steel cut oats
- 4 cups 1% low-fat milk
- 6 scallions
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ground pepper
- red pepper flakes
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350º.
- Dice onion and garlic. Heat pan, add olive oil, pepper flakes. Saute garlic and onion in olive oil until translucent in large saute pan.
- Add milk, steel cut oats, salt, pepper. Cook ~15 minutes. Stir in scallions.
- Oil 9"x13" pan. Pour in oat mixture. Bake for 15 minutes. Broil for 5 minutes.
