North Woods Inn Red Cabbage Salad

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 head red cabbage
- 1⁄2 cup oil
- 1⁄2 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon onion powder
Directions
- Shred cabbage irregularly, some fine some coarse shreds into bowl.
- add oil, vinegar , sugar, salt, seasoned salt, pepper and onion powder.
- mix well.
- let stand several hours or overnight to allow flavors to mellow and slaw to achieve deep red color.
