No-Knead Wheat Germ Bread

  1. Combine 1/2 cup all purpose flour, dry milk, sugar, yeast and salt.
  2. Heat water and butter until very warm (until the butter melts).
  3. Stir in wheat germ, let stand for about 2 minutes.
  4. Stir wheat germ mixture into dry ingredients.
  5. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer.
  6. Add egg and 1/4 cup all purpose flour.
  7. Beat 2 minutes at high speed.
  8. Stir in 3/4 cup all purpose flour and 1/4 cup whole wheat flour to make stiff batter.
  9. Place into a Loaf Pan (1,5 QT size).
  10. Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  11. Bake at 375F for 25 minutes or until done.
