Yields: 2-4 pies
Ingredients
- 5 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 lb cold margarine
- 1⁄2 lb cold lard
- 3⁄4 cup ice cold water
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons cold vinegar
Directions
- Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Cut in margarine and lard.
- Mix water, egg yolk and vinegar together.
- Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and pour in the liquid mixing well.
- This can then be wrapped and frozen or used immediately.
