No-Cook Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 (28 ounce) can whole canned tomatoes, drained
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed or 2 garlic cloves, grated
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- fresh ground black pepper (to taste)
Directions
- Dump the tomatoes into the bowl of a food processor and pulse a few times until they are broken down into a chunky sauce consistency (alternatively dump them into a large bowl and crush them with a potato masher.).
- transfer the crushed tomatoes to a medium bowl and add the garlic,salt,olive oil & a grind or two of black pepper.
- let the sauce marinate for about 15 minutes before using.
- store any extra sauce in a airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
