Nigella's Orange French Toast

  1. Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, and orange zest in a wide shallow dish.
  2. Soak bread slices in this mixture for 2 minutes a side.
  3. While the bread is soaking, bring the juice, marmalade and sugar to a boil, then turn down to a fast simmer for 3-4 minutes. Let syrup stand while you cook the bread.
  4. Heat the butter in a skillet and cook the bread for 2 minutes a side until golden.
  5. Serve with the syrup.
