New York State Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 1 pie crust (For crust use whatever you are comfortable with-I am happy with those you can find in the dairy case)
- 5 cups apples, peeled and sliced (your choice)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons margarine
Directions
- Sprinkle lemon juice over apple slices.
- Combine sugar, salt, flour,cinnamon and nutmeg in a mixing bowl.
- Sprinkle over apple slices.
- Toss apples and flour mixture until apple slices are fully coated.
- Arrange into bottom prepared crust.
- Dot with margarine.
- Cover with top crust and fold under and crimp.
- Cut slits into top crust and dust with sugar if desired.
- Bake at 375°F for 50 minutes.
