Nectarine Chutney and Broiled Pork

Ingredients
For the chutney
- 1 lb nectarine, pitted and chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 slices ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 pinch lemon, zest of
- 1 tablespoon orange juice concentrate
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
For the pork
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 slices ginger, minced
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 boneless pork chops
Directions
- Combine the nectarines, onion, ginger, lemon juice and zest, concentrate, vinegar, sugar, and cinnamon in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and simmer, covered, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is thickened.
- Meanwhile, combine the oil, ginger, cinnamon, and pepper.
- Brush the chops with 1/2 of the mixture and broil 4 minutes.
- Turn the chops, rebaste with the remaining oil, and broil another 4 minutes or until cooked.
- Serve chops with chutney.
