Ready In: 2 mins
Serves: 1
Ingredients
Fleas
- garlic
- apple cider vinegar
- brewer's yeast
- eucalyptus oil
Ticks
- basil or basil oil
Directions
- Vitamin B or garlic supplements aid in strengthening the immune system.
- Some studies have shown small amounts of garlic per meal builds an odor and taste unacceptable to fleas.
- Apple cider vinegar may also repel fleas. A drop per day in the pet's water bowl will deter fleas and build the immune system.
- Brewer's yeast rubbed into a pet's skin or powdered on the fur are both recommended ways to naturally deter fleas.
- Citronella oil put into a shampoo is another method. Citronella oil and eucalyptus oil on the collar may help also.
- For Ticks: Basil can be crushed and mixed with water to use as a spray, or the essential oil can be rubbed into the fur and skin.
