Nan's Oatmeal Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup margarine or 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1 3⁄4 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons spoon cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup hot water
- 1⁄2 cup oats
Directions
- Add the hot water to the oats in a small bowl and set aside.
- Cream marg, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs.
- Sift flour, salt, coca and soda.
- Add the oats the the butter mixture.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet.
- Pour into a 8-8 greased and floured pan.
- Bake @ 350 for 30-35 minute.
