Nancy's Dill Pickles

Yields: 6 jars
Ingredients
- 3 quarts water
- 1 quart white vinegar
- 1 cup salt
- 2 teaspoons dill seeds
- 1⁄8 teaspoon alum
- 20 -30 pickling cucumbers
Directions
- Boil water vinegar and salt in large pot.
- Put cucumbers in canning bottles.
- Add dill seed and alum.
- pour juice over cucumbers.
- put lids on and seal.
- * amount depends on how many jars you plan on using.
