Nana's Lemon Supreme Cake

This recipe was given to me by my grandmother(Nana). She won several blue ribbons at the county fairs with it. Show more

Ingredients

  • 1 (18 ounce) box  Duncan Hines lemon supreme cake mix
  • 34 cup  Crisco cooking oil
  • 4  eggs
  • 1  cup  apricot nectar
  • 12 cup sugar
  • GLAZE

  • 2  lemons, juice of
  • 12 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Cream Sugar and Oil together and add eggs one at a time.
  2. Add cake mix and nectar alternately.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Bake in tube pan for 1 hour @ 325 degrees.
  5. Let cool in pan 20 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile mix the lemon juice and sugar together and cook on the stove until sugar is dissolved.
  7. Remove cake from pan and spread glaze on top and sides.
