Mystery Squares

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 cup icing sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1⁄4 cups brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup coconut
- 3⁄4 cup maraschino cherry, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 cups frosting, your choice
Directions
- For the base combine the butter, 2 cups flour and icing sugar. Mix well and place in a greased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes then cool.
- For the middle combine the rest of the ingredients except for the icing. Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.
- When cool spread with frosting (I used Kittencal's Fluffy White Buttercream Frosting/Icing) and sprinkle with chopped walnuts if desired.
