My Super Simple Spaghetti Sauce

I needed some sauce and quick! I am not a fan of the jarred stuff...plus I didn't want to go to the store. This is a rendition of my favorite sauce My Very Best Spaghetti Sauce, just made simple and it doesn't have to cook all day.

• Serves: 2-3
• Yields: 4 1/2 cups

Ingredients

• 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
• 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
• 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
• 2  tablespoons sugar (please adjust to your taste)
• 1⁄2 teaspoon basil
• 1⁄2 teaspoon oregano
• 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1  teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (please adjust to your taste)

Directions

1. Throw it all in a sauce pan, stir, simmer, cover and continue to simmer for 20-30 minutes.
2. Season again to taste.
3. **we like a spicy sweet sauce -- so please adjust the sugar and crushed red to your liking**.
