My Mother's Brown Sugar Pecan Pie

My mother loved this pie and made it whenever she had an occasion to do so. As to the amount of pecans to use her recipe says "as many pecans as you can spare". Show more

  1. Cream the butter and the brown sugar together, then add the eggs, one at a time, stirring each in well but not beating. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and as many pecans as you can spare. Pour into the unbaked pie crust and bake in a preheated 350 F oven until the pie is firm.
