My Mom's Apple Crisp

I think everyone has their favorite way to prepare apple crisp, this is how I like it! I don't like added sugar with the apples, so the apples tend to be a bit drier than with other crisp recipes. The topping has more oats that many other recipes. Show more

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Peel and slice apples. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning. Place in lightly greased 9x9 pan.
  3. Mix remaining ingredients, except butter, in a medium bowl. Add butter. Mix just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  4. Sprinkle over the apples.
  5. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes, or until apples are soft and topping is browned.
