My Greek Meatballs

Ingredients
- 2 slices white bread (crusts removed, torn)
- 1⁄4 cup ouzo
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄2 cup onion (minced)
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 teaspoons mint (minced)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- fresh cracked pepper (to taste)
- flour (as needed)
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
Directions
- Soak bread in Ouzo for 5 minutes. Squeeze dry.
- Heat oil in a skillet.
- Add onions. Saute 3 minutes. Remove. Let cool.
- Stir into bread, turkey, egg, mint, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper.
- Shape into meatballs. Coat with flour.
- Place on a rack over a baking sheet. Chill 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a skillet.
- Add meatballs. Brown 10-15 minutes.
