My Favorite Oatmeal Cookies

This recipe has been in my family since I can remember cookies. They are the best oatmeal cookies I've ever had and easy to make!

• Yields: 40 cookies

Ingredients

• 3⁄4 cup butter
• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 3⁄4 cup white sugar
• 1  egg
• 1 1⁄4 cups flour
• 1⁄4 cup water
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 2 1⁄2 cups rolled oats
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1  cup raisins
• 1  cup pecans, chopped

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
2. Cream butter and sugar.
3. Add egg, water and vanilla and mix well.
4. Add dry ingredients: flour, oats, baking soda, raisins and pecans.
5. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
