Muzzy's Beans

Serves: 8-10
Yields: 1 1 cup servings
Ingredients
- 1 lb kidney bean
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 lb linguica sausage, skinned and chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 14 1⁄2 ounces diced tomatoes
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne (optional)
Directions
- Cook beans, garlic and onions according to package directions, salt to taste. Brown linguica and ground beef in a large frying pan. Drain well and add remaining ingredients and simmer about thirty minutes. Taste and correct seasonings.
