Muskoka BBQ Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 cups onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups water
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1⁄2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup catsup
- 1⁄2 cup cider vinegar
- 2 cups tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon celery salt
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1⁄2 teaspoon clove
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1⁄2 cup sweet pickle relish, drained
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium-high heat and whisk until smooth.
- Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 to 60 minutes or until mixture thickens.
- Allow to cool, then refrigerate in a tightly closed container at least overnight.
- Flavors will enhance after a couple of days.
