Mum Teale's Casserole

Serves: 4-6
Ingredients
- 500 g beef steaks, cubed
- 2 tablespoons plain flour
- 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon gravox (gravy powder)
- 1 brown onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to moderate (180 degrees).
- In a casserole dish, with a lid, combine all ingredients except for the meat and vegies.
- Stir together, add meat and vegies.
- Bake for 2 hours, until meat is cooked and tender. Let sit for 10 minutes. Serve with mashed potato and peas.
