Mrs. Sacco's Brownies

These brownies are from my girlfriend's Mom, Mrs. Sacco, and I've been making them ever since college, for the past 35 years. They go together in a snap, using ingredients almost always on hand, and everyone LOVES them. They're similar to "Whatever Floats Your Boat" brownies posted on zaar, but even simpler... no greasing or lining of pan, and you just put everything in the same bowl at once and stir. I always add the eggs last, though, on top of the dry ingredients, so the melted margarine or butter doesn't accidentally cook them. You can add nuts to the batter, and frost or dust with confectioners sugar when cool. These brownies make a great little hostess gift. Show more
