More Than Meat Tacos

I like flavor and hate packages. This is a made from scratch taco mix with some other ingredients thrown in to add a lot more flavor. I personally love cast iron, so if you got one, this is a good recipe for it. I started with a generic taco seasoning recipe I acquired at some point and added my own little spin. The seasoning mix (chili powder, paprika, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper) will make about 1/2 cup of the mix. You will only need 7 teaspoons of this for the recipe, but there was no easy way of splitting the mix down and not getting the ratios screwed up. Store the remaining mix in an air tight container in a dark, cool place. Show more
