Mom's Top Secret Bleu Cheese Dressing

My mother guarded this recipe like it was made of gold. It makes me smile to know she'd think that was silly now - my relatives have been asking for it so I'm posting it here to save the retyping and you can enjoy it too! Incredible with buffalo wings!

• Yields: 64 Tablespoons

Ingredients

• 3⁄4 cup sugar
• 1⁄4 cup water
• 5  tablespoons lemon juice
• 1  cup canola oil
• 1  cup ketchup
• 1  teaspoon salt
• 1  teaspoon dry mustard
• 1  teaspoon paprika
• 1⁄4 cup vinegar
• 1  tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1  small onion, grated
• 1  tablespoon celery seed
• 1⁄2 lb blue cheese
• 1  garlic clove, minced

Directions

1. Cook sugar and water until bubbles are the size of a dime.
2. Remove from heat and cool.
3. Pour into blender.
4. Add remaining ingredients and blend thoroughly.
5. Add bleu cheese and garlic, leave a couple of chunks of the cheese as crumbles to add after blending.
