Mom's Simple Chili Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 (16 ounce) cans bush's chili beans
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup onion, chiopped
- 1 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 (14 1/2ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Directions
- In a large pan, cook beef, onion and green pepper until meat is browned.
- Drain excess grease.
- Stir in remaining ingredients, except cheese. Bring to a boil.
- Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Garnish with cheddar and serve.
