Mom's Scrumptious Applesauce Pork Chops

Always a favorite since it adds a lot of flavor to the porkchops this is a creative low budget way to serve porkchops. Variations include using different kinds of applesauce such as cinnamon. Show more

Yields: 4 pork-chops

Ingredients

  • 2  tablespoons  oil
  • 4  cups  cinnamon applesauce
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 4  pork chops

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a skillet, brown the pork chops.
  3. Line a jellyroll pan with aluminum foil for easy clean-up.
  4. Place browned pork chops on pan and divide the brown sugar into fourths.
  5. Top each pork-chop with the divided sugar.
  6. Spread the applesauce out over the pork chops.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes or until tender. Make sure to check at the 45 minute mark.
