- Peel and slice potatoes, boil for 25 minutes, drain.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9" X 13" pan. Cover bottom of pan with half the potato slices, then half the grated cheese.
- Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat, stir in flour and salt. Add milk, cook and whisk until smooth and thick. Pour half over potatoes and cheese in pan. Layer remaining potatoes and cheese in pan, cover with remaining milk mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
