Mom's Quick Tuna

Quick, easy, and light dinner. You can use leftover chicken, instead of tuna.

Ingredients

  • 1  small onion, chopped
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tuna, drained
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 14 teaspoon  crushed  dried hot pepper
  • 14 teaspoon paprika
  • 1  dash hot chili powder
  •  salt-free garlic and herb seasoning (optional)

Directions

  1. Spray a medium saucepan with nonstick cooking spray, and sauté the onion (use oil if you prefer).
  2. Add the tuna and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the salt, pepper, hot pepper, paprika and chili powder.
  4. Cook for a few more minutes.
  5. I serve this with pita bread, but you can make regular sandwiches if you like.
